LJUBIŠA JOVANOVIĆ, flute, during more than four decades, has premiered over a hundred works by Serbian composers. He graduated and obtained his master’s degree under Professor Miodrag Azanjac in Belgrade, and received advanced training under Professor Christian Lardé in Paris. During his rich concert activity, Ljubiša Jovanović has worked as a Solo flutist in the Belgrade Opera and Ballet Symphony Orchestra, the Radio Television Belgrade Symphony Orchestra and the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra. He has held more than fifteen hundred recitals at all major festivals in the former Yugoslavia, in European countries, in China, Russia, Algeria, South Africa and Argentina. Ljubiša Jovanović is a permanent member of the Ensemble for New Music and the Anima Trio. He has won numerous awards and has received important recognitions such as the Golden Link Award [Zlatni Beočug], the Annual Award of the Association of Music Artists of Serbia, the Gold Medal of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the Silver Medal of the University of Arts, the Aleksandar Pavlović Award of the Association of Composers of Serbia, the Charter of the Radio Belgrade 2, the Award of the Muzika Klasika Classical Music Magazine, the Plaque of the Kolarac Endowment, and the Sreten Stojanović Great Golden Plaque of the University of Arts in Belgrade. Ljubiša Jovanović is a full professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, and he holds master classes all over the world. He is the founder of the Camerata Serbica Professional Ensemble and the BUNT Festival.
