The Profundis Chamber Orchestra was founded four years ago with the aim of promoting the quality and uniqueness of artistic expression with a special emphasis on the originality of their concert performances. Its members are some of the most prominent North Macedonian instrumentalists that are employed at the National Opera and Ballet and the National Philharmonic of North Macedonia. In addition to its classical repertoire, which includes music from the Baroque onwards, the ensemble strives to develop other ways of presenting music – through digital concerts, 3D mapping, the use of new technologies, and other approaches. Today, the orchestra is ready to meet all the challenges of contemporary music production. It has performed at festivals such as: the Ohrid Summer Festival, Autumn Music Festivities, Golden Lyre, Modoars, and Days of Macedonian Music, collaborating with North Macedonian artists including Ljubiša Kirovski, Marija Gjoševska, Blagoj Nacoski, Slavica Micovska, Nade Talevska, Ema Popivoda, and others. The orchestra has performed with prominent soloists, among them Antonio di Cristofano, Angelo Ruggieri, Daniele Aiello, Maurizio Mastrini, and Paolo Sibilia, and has had a very significant collaboration with the Serbian violinist Jovan Bogosavljević.
