Nemanja Radulović, a Serbian-French violinist who, with his unique energy, exciting virtuosity, depth of expression, and adventurous program embodies the idea that music brings people together, released his latest album Roots for Warner Classics in 2021. It was preceded by compact discs for the Deutsche Grammophon and Universal Music Group labels. He has performed in the world’s most prestigious halls, such as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, the Salle Pleyel in Paris, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, among others. As a soloist, Nemanja Radulović frequently performs with the world’s leading orchestras, among them: the London, Munich, and New York Philharmonic Orchestras, the Berlin, Tokyo, Montreal, Gothenburg, and Sydney Symphony Orchestras, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dresden State Chapel, and others. He regularly holds recitals with harpist Marielle Nordmann and pianists Laure Favre-Kahn and Susan Manoff. Nemanja Radulović was the winner of the Joseph Joachim Violin Competition in Hanover, Georges Enescu in Bucharest, and Stradivarius in Cremona. He studied at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, the Hochschule für Musik Saar in Saarbrücken, the Stauffer Academy in Cremona, and the Paris Conservatory.

Double Sens was founded in 2008 when violinist Nemanja Radulović gathered some of his favorite musicians from France and Serbia to play together in a chamber orchestra. United by friendship, with a strong love for music and a distinct passion for sharing it on stage, the members of the orchestra play together all over the world. Their recent and upcoming performances include concerts at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Wiener Konzerthaus, Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Opéra de Marseille, Kolarac Endowment, Kyoto Concert Hall, and Hall of the Berliner Philharmoniker. The orchestra has recorded five albums, including The 5 Seasons (Decca, 2011) and Journey East (Deutsche Grammophon, 2015). In 2022, Radulović and Double Sens released their first album through Warner Classics. The idea for the album emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic, when Radulović had time during the isolation to think more deeply about the music of today, but also about the music of the past and the future. In this regard, the compact disc titled Roots unites arrangements of traditional and contemporary music through a musical journey around the world – from Serbian and Balkan folklore, through the melodies of European countries, all the way to sounds from distant parts of China, India, and Japan.
