The Aureum Saxophone Quartet charmingly bridges tradition and modernity, shaking up the conventions of the classical concert. The ensemble comprises four musicians with entirely different characters who, through their interpretations, become one cohesive sound body in peformance. International awards and concert successes have led the ensemble to renowned concert halls: the Wiener Konzerthaus, Wiener Musikverein, Porgy and Bess, MuTh, and the Arnold Schönberg Center in Vienna, the Großes Festspielhaus in Salzburg, and the Slovak Radio Hall, among others. They have performed at festivals such as the Istanbul Music Festival, Sonusiade at the Liaunig Museum, Salzkammergut Festwochen, the Regional Haydn Festival, Klaaspärlimäng in Estonia, and Tra Lago e Monti in Italy. Through the music educational project #klanginsel titled Mach dir ein Bild vom Klang [Create an Image of Sound], they have successfully collaborated with the Tonkünstler-Orchester. The ensemble's repertoire spans from the Baroque to contemporary music with a continuous focus on exploring the technical and acoustic possibilities of the saxophone, influenced by classical music, jazz, world music, and Austrian folk music. The ensemble's performances have been broadcast on stations such as Radio Österreich 1, the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, and Radio Klassik Stephansdom.
