As an integral part of the KotorArt music program, Don Branko’s Music Days have for several years now nurtured the arts and forgotten traditions of Kotor, transforming town squares into venues for live arts, accessible and visible to all.
In these previous years were carried out, with considerable success and to the delight of locals, tourists, and caterers, over 100 side programs throughout the Old City of Kotor. The collaboration with the Vida Matjan Music School and Nikola Đurković Cultural Center, as well as other partners, has resulted in numerous programs, which, in improving the cultural life during the off-season, have positively impacted the development tourism throughout the year.
Street performance (busking) includes disciplines that are performed in public places, attracting the attention of travelers and locals alike – from street musicians, mimes, puppeteers, circus acrobatics, comedians, and magicians to street theater and dance. Many of the world’s most popular musicians have used this form of performance during their careers at some points – Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Durante, Andrea Bocelli, Manu Chao, Zaz, and many others.
In addition to the rich main program, in the period from July 13 to August 13, Kotor piazzas will be hosting a great variety of ensembles, solo musicians, and even circus performers from Montenegro and the wider region.
