MP TRIO consists of guitarist Miladin Peruničić, bass guitarist Davor Novak, and drummer Ivan Ivanović – artists who have earned their educations at music academies in the country and the region and who, in addition to actively being engaged in music, work as professors at the Vasa Pavić Art School for Music and Ballet in Podgorica. They are recognized by audiences for their original repertoire, which, in a slightly eclectic way, ranges from classical jazz standards and arrangements of the “manouche” music of Django Reinhardt, through modern fusion jazz and blues compositions, to arrangements of pop and rock hits. With their music, they try to merge a modern jazz sound with rhythms and motifs of world and Balkan traditional music, not pre-occupying themselves with any of these genres in particular, but rather flirting about with various sources of inspiration. Their performances become more attractive thanks, of course, to the concept of improvisation as the essence of jazz. The Trio has performed with famous musicians such as Rambo Amadeus, Ivan Aleksijević, Ljuba Paunić, Elvir Bandić-Banda, Denise Jannah, Rendy Brecker, Gabrielle Stravelli, Patrick O’ Leary, Bobby Sanabria, and many others. They have released two singles - Blues Shoes for Pitter Lemon and Hypowonder.
