Common Thread
Project title: Common Thread
Summary
"Common Thread" weaves a sustainable and creative narrative, revitalizing traditional textile craftsmanship in the picturesque setting of Podgora, Žabljak. Tailored for young enthusiasts passionate about art, crafts and design, this project seeks to preserve cultural heritage while fostering creativity in an eco-village context. By using a modern technique and applying it to a traditional resource, we are marrying tradition with innovation. With a tufting summer camp, collaborations with local manufacturers, and the creation of prototypes for traditional souvenirs, "Common Thread" intertwines hands-on learning with sustainable practices. Participants will be immersed in the process of wool production, further connecting them to the ecological and cultural significance of their craft. Aiming to leave a lasting impact, an educational toolkit will document the creative process, ensuring the project's legacy extends beyond the tufting frame, enriching Žabljak's cultural and economic fabric.

With extensive experience and a shared passion for tufting, we have joined forces to provide a platform for like-minded creatives. We synergize our skills in visual arts and craftsmanship to create unique tufted pieces that transcend traditional boundaries. United by a common vision of blending tradition with contemporary influences, we formed a team dedicated to not just crafting products but embarking on a journey of artistic expression, emotion, and storytelling. Together, we navigate the realms of tufting, and invite others to join our creative exploration.
