Project title: CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES & HERITAGE

Summary:

The project was initiated with the aim of contributing to the further development, strengthening and sustainability of the idea of the Association for Cultural Development „Bauo“ from Petrovac na Moru, which includes the implementation of the international conference „Cultural and Creative Industries & Heritage“. It is about the organization of this meeting once a year, unique in our country, in which more than 30 experts from several European countries participate. This is a platform where different actors meet who normally do not have the opportunity to connect and think and act together; there are academic workers, researchers and scientists from humanities and heritage, as well as artists, but also experts from design, media, gaming industry, ICT sector, marketing, tourism, finance, business, etc. We intend for this concept to continue in a more massive and sustainable way, with a strong international participation and, after the meeting, the publication of a collection of papers that would benefit everyone involved in the cultural and creative industries because such publications do not exist in our country.

Autori projekta

Dušan Medin, archaeologist, manager in culture, PhD candidate in archaeology. He is engaged in research work in culture and heritage, (co)author of several books and articles, editor of dozens of books, curator of exhibitions. He is teaching associate at the Faculty of Culture and Tourism UDG and executive director of the Association for Cultural Development „Bauo“ from Petrovac na Moru.

Ivana Kurtović, classroom teacher, master’s student in inclusive education. She is the director of the Elementary School „Mirko Srzentić“ in Petrovac na Moru. She is also active in the NGO „Eduteka“ Budva and Association for Cultural Development „Bauo“. She initiated and coordinated numerous projects concerning children, youth, cultural heritage, education and innovation.
